Sir,

After consultation with the Chief Manager of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, I have the honour to recommend the following programme of subsidiary coin for the current year.

Ten cent pieces a total amount to value $1,200,000 to arrive at Hongkong as follows:-

19th July $300,000 6th August $300,000 13th August $300,000 30th August $300,000 13th September $300,000 27th September $300,000

All Ten Cent Pieces.

It is most important that the above 10 cent pieces do not arrive in Hongkong before July 13th or after September 27th.

In addition to the above, $50,000 worth of 20 cent pieces and $50,000 worth of 5 cent pieces to arrive in Hongkong as soon as convenient.

Also $150,000 of 1 cent bronze coins to arrive by fortnightly shipments of $10,000, the first shipment to be as early as convenient.

The last order for $150,000 is only given on the understanding that the Royal Mint will be able to undertake the coinage.
